FAQ - What is the European Business Excellence Programme?

On the BPIC web site the term "Business Excellence" is used to refer to current best practice in business planning and control, which includes enterprise or manufacturing resource planning, total quality, just in time etc.. A number of institutes in Europe have developed the total quality part of current best practice into what is called the "European Business Excellence Model" although as far as I know there is no one "official" definition.

One of the key areas in the UK where the model has been developed is Leeds University where the model has been used to benchmark companies.
