Production Control vs MRPII |
||||||
This page is for people looking for help with controlling production or production control scheduling systems.
Production control is a sub-set of MRPII (manufacturing resource planning) as it refers only to the control or scheduling of production rather than the wider control of all business or enterprise resources. Whilst production control and scheduling is an essential part of MRPII it must link effectively into the wider picture, the planning of the business or enterprise. Production control is closely related to master production scheduling
The course that is most relevant for production controllers is the 2 day material requirements planning course . This is a stand alone course for production planners, controllers and master schedulers showing the mechanics of material planning systems and how they link in to the other business processes.
Please use all the resources that you will find listed at the BPIC home page for help with production control.
